Week 17: What's Developing
Baby Justin is now approximately 13cm long!
In his bowel, a substance called meconium is accumulating. It is black and gooey and it is composed of products of cell loss, digestive secretion, and swallowed amniotic fluid. This will become Justin's first POOP.
This week, Justin's prostate will begin to develop.
His skeleton is hardening from rubbery cartilage into bone.
Justin's sense of hearing is developing.
